FAMILY HISTORY SERVICES
Research
Traditional documentary research as well as DNA results can be used to extend a family line of ancestors as well as to find birth parents, siblings, or adopted children. SMB Genealogical Services is equipped with traditional
genealogical methods as well as investigative
techniques using Ancestry DNA, 23andMe,
My Heritage, and FTDNA platforms.
We will begin by working collaboratively to identify research questions and assess what is already known on the subject. Then the research process begins, seeking results and records found online and in repositories to unearth facts about your relatives. The results will be analyzed, correlated and presented in a professional report.
Consultation
In a focused consultation, your own research will be reviewed. During this process, insights and leads can be offered to assist you in pursuing your own family history research.
Document Retrievals
Sometimes tracking down an original record is invaluable. Record retrieval is available in the San Francisco Bay Area, within a thirty mile radius from Pleasanton. This range would include, but is not limited to: Sutro Library, San Francisco Public Library, Oakland Library, and
multiple County Clerks Offices.
